Purified Water

Water Purification Process

  • Large bed Granulated Activated Charcoal
Water is slowly seeped through 45 pounds (dry weight) of GAC. Removes chlorine, taste, odor and numerous trace contaminants
  • Dual media ion exchange tank
Cation media removes the hardness-causing positive ions such as Calcium and Magnesium. Anion media removes negative ions such as Maui’s infamous nitrates, carbonates, and phosphates
  • 3-stage microfiltration
    20 micron poly
    10 micron charcoal block
    5 micron poly
  • Reverse osmosis
A slow, energy-driven physical molecular process that separates incoming water into an impure fraction which is discarded, and a pure fraction which is stored in a 65 gallon tank to await dispensing. This removes nearly all dissolved solids and organics, while retaining dissolved oxygen, so water does not have the “flat” taste of distilled water.
  • Final polishing stage,
(occurs at the moment water is dispensed)
    • Charcoal block filter
Insures the cleanest, freshest taste possible.
    • UV radiation
Required by federal law to insure microbiological safety
